Peristaltic pumps

The peristaltic pump is a machine that applies the principle of peristalsis, based on which a constriction that runs along the tube, thanks to the elasticity of the same, generates a pressure variation.

The fundamental component of the pump is therefore the tube which must resist crushing for as long as possible, deforming itself in an elastic and not plastic way. It is precisely the elasticity that allows the pipe to reacquire the original dimensions and therefore guarantee the prevalence to the fluid and the suction capacity.

The ACME peristaltic pumps are the partner chosen by the main industries in the most varied sectors. Particularly suitable for abrasive, acid, sensitive, viscous and dense products.

They are self-priming, reversible and can run dry. They work without the aid of valves or seals, which often, in other types of pumps, are a source of breakage or malfunction.

They can therefore be used successfully, both in heavy-duty services, such as the pumping of abrasive sludge, with solid or filamentary suspensions, highly viscous fluids or where great suction capacity is required, as well as in applications where maximum delicacy is required in transferring the fluid, without altering its original characteristics (no emulsions, no foam, no contamination). Possible use in explosive environments. They also guarantee great precision in dosing.

Thanks to their constructive simplicity and reduced maintenance times, the Acme peristaltic pumps also boast extreme cost-effectiveness, as the only part subject to wear is the rubber tubing, which is easy and quick to replace.

Notes

Hydraulic operating machine that uses moving mechanical parts (rotary or rectilinear alternative) to lift or in any case move or collect fluid material. A pump operates in a closed environment, between a suction and a delivery duct. In dynamic pumps (operating tubomachines) the flow is continuous (stationary), while in volumetric pumps it is discontinuous (unsteady).

Appliance that applies the principle of peristalsis, based on which the prevalence of the treated fluid is impressed by a narrowing that runs along the pipe. Peristaltic machines consist of a rotor to which 2 or more rollers are applied which, by rotating, “throttle” the tube and cause the fluid to advance. The fundamental component of the pump is the tube which must resist crushing for as long as possible, deforming, that is to say in an elastic and not plastic way.

The AS dosing series with max. Flow rates at approx. 1000 L / H and prevalence at 2 bar. They are used (during operation or after stopping) for precise pumping, in the form of a dose, of liquids from calibrated continuous injection or transfer. The wide range of pumped fluids includes common chemical products, but also viscous, loaded, abrasive, corrosive products, etc.
